The 2012 event brought together 93 city, state, federal and military agencies and their family members for a great day of camaraderie!
43 businesses came out to show and demonstrate their items and services. Supporting businesses that support the community that serves is a key piece for the event.
17 Non-Profits & Organizations that support those who serve were on hand for the event. We want to make sure that they get the best visibility to show the services they offer!
Volunteers are one of the 4 key elements to make the day a great one!
Stand With Those Who Serve
Stand With Those Who Serve is a group dedicated to honoring the Law Enforcement community and their families. This includes Corrections personnel, 911 operators and agency staff from local, city, state, federal and military agencies.
Our goal is to bring service personnel, families, support organizations and businesses together to bridge organizational and agency lines. We support our goal by planning one annual event in the greater Seattle area.
We are supported by the Seattle Police Foundation, which is a recognized 501 (c)(3) organization. We rely solely on the assistance of personnel from a variety of jurisdictions as well as sworn and non-sworn personnel. Stand With Those Who Serve does not engage in political activity, donate funds to individuals or provide funds to other organizations.
Please be sure to check back on a regular basis here on the website and on our Facebook page for upcoming announcements. You can follow us on Twitter too!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: AUGUST 18, 2013
WASHINGTON STATE – In recognition of the thousands of public safety personnel that have been called to serve their city, state and country each and every day, Governor Jay Inslee has proclaimed the week of August 25 – September 1, 2013 to be “Stand With Those Who Serve Week” in the state of Washington.
Washington’s public safety personnel from city, county, state, federal and military are often called to serve daily in a variety of ways throughout the great State of Washington. In many cases, their commitment extends well past a day at work and these same caring individuals are the coaches, mentors and leaders in their own communities.
Washington’s public safety agencies work collaboratively to safeguard life and property even in the face of personal harm on a daily basis. We would like the citizens of Washington State to take the time to show your support for the public safety community by letting them know that you “Stand With Those Who Serve”.
